Our research team is seeking a research coordinator with qualitative research experience to assist with a project that examines how the pharmaceutical industry markets its products in Canada. In particular, we are focusing on how data analytics, processes and/or tools (e.g., educational information, clinical decision support) in electronic medical record systems or other patient care software platforms can be used to promote pharmaceutical products and monitor the impact on clinician behaviour. We are interested in individuals’ experiences with these promotional approaches and their views on the benefits and risks of this form of promotion.

Our study goal is to understand and critically analyze the emergence of this marketing system in Canada, and the implications this may have for individuals, communities, and society. The study is funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada.

Please note, that you will be required to work on-site.

Summary of Duties:

  • Coordinate and oversee all aspects of the project from setting timelines and managing budgets to data collection and analysis

  • Collaborate with team members to write and edit presentations, publications, conference materials, and manuscripts
  • Coordinate knowledge translation activities, including organizing a dissemination meeting; prepare social media/blog posts; develop a media toolkit

The responsibilities described above are representative and are not to be construed as all-inclusive.

Qualifications/Skills:
